Additive Manufacturing

Additive Manufacturing (AM), also known as 3D Printing, is the process of joining materials to make parts form 3D model data, as defined by ISO/ASTM 52900.  In additive manufacturing, material is typically deposited layer upon layer, to build up a final part.  This can be accomplished by starting with a build plate that is welded on to produce the final part, or it can start with an existing part where features are added to produce a new part.

C&J offers multiple automated welding processes to  produce additively manufacture parts, including GTAW, GMAW, PTAW and SAW.  Materials C&J offers for additive manufacturing include, but are not limited to; carbon steels, low alloy steels, nickel alloys, and stainless steels.

If you have any questions about additive manufacturing or would like C&J to evaluate a specific case for additive manufacturing, please reach out to our sales team.
